The vinyl was limited to 500 copies in four different colours. In fact 561 copies wehre made. When a pressing plant makes a color switch for different colored editions there will be always copies with a more or less visible "marbled" color. The reason is that the machine needs some copies to get "clean" for the next color.
Normally the pressing plants throw away those copies. Emmo.biz asked for that copies and sold them as special collectors items or gave it away to friends. The red/black version was used as "bandedtion" for all contributing remixers and the band.
The Promo CD edition are in fact the leftover copies of the 2CD edition.
